Seasonal Energy: Spring

Early Days

Ten years ago, our first monthly newsletter, then called Energy Balancing Newsletter, was emailed. No fancy technology available; just a computer and an email listing. Nothing more was needed to reach people with an increasing curiosity about energy after receiving qi emission treatments with Alice.

Continued curiosity led to the first class. Its topic was the basics of energy vibration.

Those early emailed newsletters now exist only with those of us who printed copies. It is time to occasionally make some available and permanent by including them in this website’s Blog archive.  They will be available to anyone interested in the subject. This month’s Blog is one of the “oldies but goodies.”

And that one-time class all those years ago?  It triggered requests for more, and here we are twelve years later after dozens of classes, workshops, and countless newsletters, still going strong. Topics have spanned various types of conscious awareness, how-to for self-healing, internal energy cultivation. to connection with nonhuman energy.

Enjoy the following blog, Seasonal Energy: Spring, about the shift from winter’s yang (slower, more inward) energy to Spring’s yin entry (transition into a livelier outward energy direction).  Although it is outwardly directed, many shifts are inside us.  Enjoy.

Springtime

Spring brings many shifts. No matter where we live in the Northern Hemisphere, we easily see plants and flowers changing as warmth increases and light lengthens. We, too, are part of Nature’s seasonal cycles.

What are the physical changes you notice about yourself this time of year?  Mine is faster hair and nail growth. My haircuts increase from every six weeks to every four. But there is a lot more taking place.

Shifts in our Organs

Our internal physical functions are ongoing but daily and seasonal shifts occur, especially in our organs. It’s not surprising that an influence on any organ can impact health and our overall vibrancy. It can also effect mental activities and emotional tendencies.

Our Liver

In Spring, our Liver becomes more active. Its many responsibilities include detoxing and processing blood. You may have noticed increasing mention of Spring Liver tonics and detoxing teas this time of year. They can clear Liver’s sluggishness left from heartier winter diets.

Physically generated energy moves within our body through a network of pathways called meridians, each named for the primary organ to or through which it travels. With Spring, the Liver meridian becomes more active.

Supporting the Liver

»  Color: Green -  Just as Nature is showing its green, the vibration from the physical color green can support our Liver. It can be as simple as wearing it, looking at it, or visualizing the color surrounding and inside our Liver area.  Also, focusing on Nature’s green such as leaves, can soothe.

»  Food Vibrations: Every food contributes its own vibration. Eating in season focuses on adding more dietary greens during Spring. If you can tolerate them, consider adding cucumbers, celery, parsley, sprouts, dandelion greens or its root tea, and milk thistle tea to your diet – only after consulting with your medical specialist. No dietary changes should be undertaken without that consultation.

Another Potential Shift

»  Emotion:    Liver is impacted by and tends to hold anger’s vibration, and that tendency can increase during the early days of Spring. It’s helpful to be aware of this possibility.

We’re human, anger will happen. Choosing to clarify-resolve-release is healthier than letting it fester. Common triggers include misunderstandings, suppressed resentments/pain, challenges to life principles, ego, fear, learned tendencies, and more.
