Energies In Our Decisions

Stories About Decisions & Stress

Our August 1st monthly newsletter, Energy Sharing, told two true-life stories about making important decisions.

One involved great stress to remain safe in an unexpected experience, while the other was a repetitive life-changing event that was far from stress free.

Many years ago, I faced unexpected blizzard-like conditions while being a lone driver on a remote and unfamiliar country road. Decisions had to be made quickly with many unknowns compounding the situation.

Urgent decisions with little time in which to make them. Help came through a moment of intuitively supportive connection.

The other story shared the tale of a good friend who found herself moving many times during her early career. Her decisions were less centered around whether to move or not and more focused on the overwhelming how’s and when’s.

All were complex decisions impacting the flow of her professional career and life comfort.

Each story different. Each story holding opposite types of situations and decisions to be made. Both stories about safety and security with a different pool of decisions from which to choose.

In our August 1st newsletter, we explored the adventures.

Now we dig deeper into the energetics and support contained in each.

My Support & Approach

My initial reaction was panic which shuts out the ability of recognizing options available in a situation. It has the effect of our personal energy flow stopping.

My approach in the blizzard event was to stop. Granted, few instances on a roadway allow this, but this occasion did.

It gave me a much-needed space to allow myself to connect into a brief calm. This calm opened to the intuitive connection in which I heard the one-word direction, “breathe.”

Taking mere seconds to do simple deep, slow breathing opened my energy flow, allowing my body to relax and my emotions to soothe. My mind re-opened once the panic eased. This increased calmer clarity and provided the opening to reconnect with my intuition.

Suggestion:   This slow, deep breathing is a powerful standby approach in our mix of practices for releasing situational stress. I turn to it whenever I need a moment of centering and calming. It is excellent if we are sliding into overwhelm, emotional turmoil, and energetic shutdown.

My Friend’s Approach

In this situation of having to move yet again, my friend was dealing with overwhelm and exhaustion.

Her approach was to go internally to meditate, ask for guidance from her guides and higher self,  and journal her experiences. Immediately before the activities of planning and packing began, she took a day of quiet peace. It was then she was ready in her physical form, her calmed mind, and focused emotions to tackle the vast amount of details and projects needed to ensure her move proceeded smoothly.

She first opened internally to allow her energies to center, focus, and ground. By being fully connected with herself, she was able to confidently move forward.
